Dr. Nagesh Bhandari has earned his M.B.B.S degree and M.S. (in Orthopedic) degree from M.G.M. Medical College (Devi Ahilya Vishwa Vidhlaya), Indore, India. He received his first fellowship in Germany from the Department of Orthopedics Rehabilitation Krankenhaus, Karlsbad, Germany.
Dr. Bhandari’s wide contribution in the field of medical science has fetched him the position of a lecturer and Orthopedic Consultant (Spine Unit in Charge) at Sancheti Institute for Orthopedic and Rehabilitation, Pune, India since April 1996.
Apart from this, he has been –
• An honorary spine surgeon at Paraplegia Hospital, Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad & Seth V.S. General Hospital, Ahmedabad
• A visiting surgeon at the Department of Orthopedics, E.S.I. General Hospital, Indore, India & at Spine Unit, Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Kem Hospital, Bombay.
• An Orthopedic Consultant at Ahmedabad Orthopedic & Medical Centre Ahmedabad, India
• An Honorary Orthopedic Surgeon at Gujarat State Police Welfare Hospital, Ahmedabad
Dr Nagesh Bhandari has contributed extensively for the instrumentation of spine problems related to trauma and infection in India since 1996. Earlier to this time, no good implants were available in India for rigid fixation of spine. Helped the local industries by guidance to manufacture it, matching the international quality and standards. This endeavor has brought lot of change in spine surgery scenario in India and benefitted thousands of poor non affording patients.
Through his passion for flying, Dr Bhandari started aviation school for commercial pilot training in 1994 and since then produced about 450 commercial pilots for airlines in India and abroad. Also started Aircraft Maintenance Engineering school in 2004 and has produced about 350+ engineers.
Educational activity through Indus University has produced about 6300+ graduates, post graduates and few PhD scholars
Dr. Bhandari’s involvement in the field of research is enormous and impactful. Besides, he has proved his presence in the domain of medical science through manifold Research & Publications.
